Built in natural bath stone rubble, timber sliding sash windows under a natural tile roof covering. The cottages were built to maintain the appearance of the surrounding Georgian and Victorian buildings of Bath city centre.

Monkton Combe, Bath
The house is constructed in natural bath stone with clay roof tiles and timber windows. This is to take account of its village setting within the Bath boundary and surrounding countryside. The stone was quarried from a local quarry in Combe Down, just about one mile from the dwelling. The house was finished to a very high standard.

Construction of three new houses; Timsbury, Bath

Construction of three detached dwellings in a village near Bath. Built in reconstructed simulated cottage stone under a natural slate roof covering. Timber windows and doors are used which are in keeping with the country setting.

Construction of private houses; Combe Down, Bath.
Built in the old part of Combe Down, with a country setting. Investigation and drilling works were undertaken before commencing the work to find the roof depth of the old stone mines (over which the house was constructed). A reinforced steel and concrete raft was used to take account of the old mine workings. Built in reconstructed simulated bath stone under a natural slate roof covering. The house was designed to take account of the narrow site and proximity to other dwellings around the site.

Construction of three private houses; Stoke St. Michael
This small development consists of three houses built on a sloping site. The houses were built to take full advantage of the country views across open fields. Built in reconstructed cottage stone under a tiled roof with wooden windows to suit a country setting. The gardens were landscaped to take account of the sloping site.
